Promoting healing through arts, crafts, writing and storytelling to move beyond the pain to live an authentic and well-being life.

A self-taught creative artist, Nancy has worked in the field of gender-based violence as an educator, advocate and researcher for the last 10 years in the local, national and international level as well as in the non-profit and higher education settings. One common thread that she has found in her work is that in any kind of traumatic experience, a person’s mental health, well-being and healing process is an on-going journey. Through her own healing journey, she has discovered art, crafts, writing and storytelling to be powerful tools to move beyond the pain to live an authentic and well-being life. Nancy is a huge advocate of arts, crafts and writings as tools to heal from trauma. She makes art from her sincerest heart which is how Sincerely, Nancy came to light.

“The sun comes out after the storm, we must find a way to dance and embrace the storm while it is here. We are beyond our pain. Our pain does not define who we are at this moment. To do so, we must hear, express and follow the sketches of our hearts.” -Nancy Xiong
